Teachers lead the Pointers in their search for perfection and have always led. They form a large and dedicated group, mostly postgraduates in different academic streams, while several of them hold doctoral degrees. ELT, ELT, and B.Ed. Qualifications add to their know-how, which they regularly update at workshops and seminars. Seventh-Day Indo Public School has about 200 teachers taking care of other things with 160 non-teaching staff members. The teaching workforce consists of about 270 out of a total of 390 staff members at South Point High School and the remainder are non-teaching staff members.

Seventh-Day Indo Public School ‘s lively world thrives on the precious interplay between teachers and pupils. Every day the School nurtures that preciousness. The goal is to ensure that the teaching-learning cycle stays ahead of the changing times and developments around the classrooms. Teachers improve through a variety of lectures, seminars, conferences, training programs, certification courses, motivational tests, self-assessment symposia, therapy sessions, and skill-enhancing activities during the year. We avoid being merely curriculum facilitators in this way; their contact with pupils is hours of flourishing, leaving a lasting impact on the young minds.

Workshops and training programs designed for the Seventh-Day Indo Public School  Faculty help it to be tailored to meet modern life ‘s demands and influences on young people. Pastoral therapy training-cum-workshops, provided by Ummeed Consulting and Counseling Services, inspire, encourage, and energize teachers through written and oral assessments, role play and case studies directed by qualified psychologists, educators, and counselors. School counselors also conduct frequent such sessions. Language workshops, conducted by eminent educators and language resource people, stress the enhancement of speaking, listening, and writing skills and explore the pattern of assessment in the changing syllabi. Faculties undergo these enriching training sessions for all the subjects. Junior School arithmetic teachers regularly attend refresher workshops at Mindspark whereas refresher workshops at Smart Class are also frequent. In High School, teachers of all subjects upgrade themselves and hone their skills according to the CBSE pattern at workshops on syllabus planning, the question paper pattern, correction, and evaluation of response scripts. Both these courses strengthen the faculty ‘s core competence which, in effect, is reflected in the way they mentor Pointers in a smart and confident way. The goal of South Point is to give teachers a vision to make learning and evaluation more accessible and incorporated into the life of the classroom. The South Point faculty is treading the road of progress to give Pointers a successful tomorrow and is introducing younger, smarter teaching methods.
